This phrase sums up what we call the “sheepdog” / “self-reliant” philosophy. We hope and pray there is never a situation you find yourselves in that requires the use of the skills / tactics that we teach. It is always better to go out of your way to avoid bad situations. However, there are times that, through no fault of your own, bad situations come and find you. It is for these situations that we “prepare for the worst”.
